Announcement
10th Advanced Phytoplankton Course: Taxonomy and Systematics
3 weeks November 2012
The 10th Advanced Phytoplankton Course is being organized in cooperation by the Marine Biological Section of the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Naples, Italy, and the IOC Science and Communication Centre on Harmful Algae.
This continues a four decade long tradition of advanced phytoplankton courses starting in 1976 at University of Oslo under the auspices of UNESCO and later at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, in Naples. The 10th anniversary course is organized in a new partnership and is based on cost recovery implying that the participants individually identify funding for attendance. Recognizing that sufficient time is required to identify funding announcement and deadline for applications is earlier than before.
Applications must arrive no later than 1 October 2011. Acceptance will be notified before 1 November 2011.
