We are currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate
to join the National Bank of Algae at Marine Biotechnology Center of
Universidad Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain (http://www.cbm.ulpgc.es/).
The successful candidate will join a molecular taxonomy and phylogenetic
research project of microalgae cultures (including cyanobacteria). The
candidate will expect to join the group in January 2011.
The candidate should:
-Have a bachelor or master degree in Biology or related fields with a very
good score at college that qualify for Spanish or International PhD 
fellowship.
-Previous laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques (Genomic DNA
extraction, PCR and sequence analysis) will be a plus.
-English written and spoken (intermediate level).
We offer:
-One-year contract. During this period the candidate should apply for
fellowship to realize a PhD.
-Salary (17000 ? per year plus 2300 ? incentives at the end of the year
depending of productivity).
-Stimulating research environment.
