 Thank you, Jean for sending us the news. I have had the honor of co-authoring a paper with Dave Bukry as well as talking with him on his second short stint at Scripps in the late 90s. Wishing him well on his next journey

Hi all, I learned this week that Dave Bukry, a USGS-GMEG emeritus scientist and a longtime colleague to many of us, passed away. Dave initially started with the USGS in 1967 and eventually made his way to Menlo Park. Dave made important contributions to the fields of micropaleontology, marine geology, and paleoceanography, including involvement in the Deep Sea Drilling Project.
