Hi all,
Just to follow up on Jon's call for papers for the Marine Micropaleontology special issue on calcareous nannofossils from rapid warming events (Mesozoic and Cenozoic):
We (guest editors + AE) will do our best to expedite the review process while maintaining the journal's usual high standards. If you already have a mature dataset or a manuscript close to submission, this is a good time to send in a tentative title and lead author. Once we have 6+ confirmed submissions, we can open the submission window with the EiC.
We appreciate your time and look forward to your titles and submissions.
Best,
 Shijun

Hello!

On behalf of my co-guest editors Cinzia Bottini and Yasu Wang and associate editor Shijun Jiang, I’m writing to solicit interest (once again) on an expanded call for papers for a special issue of Marine Micropaleontology. The issue will focus on calcareous nannofossils from rapid global warming events. We seek papers describing nannofossil response to climatic events that involve or are associated with rapid warming events (e.g., Mesozoic OAEs, PETM, etc.). This broad topic can involve papers at regional or global scales related to taxonomy, paleoecology, or response to paleoenvironmental change. We are interested in all time scales both Mesozoic and Cenozoic.

Thank you if you have already submitted titles/abstracts as we have been working on this for a while now. However, we have expanded the scope to draw more interest from the nannofossil community. This is also an opportunity for those of you who have already expressed interest to send in an updated/revised title. Those of you who have been a part of this so far know that this special issue has been in the works for a long time now, but we are trying to finally get it completed! Please send me, if you already have not, a tentative title and lead author. If you have questions about the special issue, please let me know.

Thanks!

-Jon
