Dear All Those of you who were not able to join us in Athens may be wondering about the outcome of the election for President of the International Nannoplankton Association. I am pleased to report that Giuliana Villa was elected and took over from me at the end of the conference. I should also thank the appointments committee of Jason Crux, Simonetta Monechi and Sudeep Kanungo for ensuring that two first rate candidates - (Ric Jordan and Giuliana) stood, and Sebastian Meier for very effectively organising the election - over 80% of the members voted.
