Algal Research
We are please to announce that a new journal, Algal Research will be published in 2012.
Algal Research is an international journal that will cover all areas of emerging technologies in algal biology, biomass production, cultivation, harvesting, extraction, bioproducts, and econometrics. The journal publishes original scientific research papers, review articles and invited commentaries. Review articles, book reviews and commentaries should only be submitted after consultation with the Editors.
Some of the topics covered are:

Introducing the Editors-in-Chief
We are delighted to have Dr. Jose Olivares and Dr. Richard Sayre on board as the Editors-in-Chief.
Dr. Olivares serves as the Biofuels Program Manager for Los Alamos National Laboratory. He is the current Executive Director of the National Alliance for Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Biofuels Association and the New Mexico Biomedical and Biotechnology Association.
Dr. Sayre is Director of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Institute for Renewable Fuels at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St Louis, as well as Director of the Center for Advanced Biofuel Systems, a DOE-Energy Frontier Research Center focusing on metabolic engineering of algae and camelina for oil production. He is the author of over 90 publications in a diverse range of the biological sciences ranging from the biophysics of photosynthesis, to the bioremediation of toxic wastes, quorum sensing, and food crop biofortification.
