Subject: 4th International Society for Applied Phycology Congress - June 19-24, 2011

Dear Colleague;

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce that the 4th Congress of the International Society for Applied Phycology (ISAP) will be held in the harbour city of Halifax, Canada from June 19-24, 2011. Under the auspices of the ISAP, our local organizing committee of algal researchers and industry leaders have been actively planning the ISAP 2011 Congress and are now ready to receive your abstracts under our meeting theme: "Scaling-up for new opportunities in applied phycology".

By following the abstract submission instructions on the congress web site at www.isap2011-halifax.org/160-callabstracts_e.shtml, you can easily upload your abstract through an internet-based submission process. A technical committee will peer review all submissions received by the deadline date of February 11, 2011. All accepted authors of oral or poster presentations will be notified by March 11th and will be invited to submit full papers for publication in the ISAP 2011 Congress Proceedings in the Journal of Applied Phycology. The instructions for authors submitting their articles for the Congress Proceedings can be found at: isap2011-halifax.org/pdf/manuscripts.pdf.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful city of Halifax and receiving your abstracts by February 11, 2011. For more detailed information on the ISAP 2011 Congress and on Halifax please visit our web site at www.ISAP2011-Halifax.org
