Postdoctoral Associate in Algal Biofuels Research
Individual will interact with a dynamic, multi-institutional research
team creating catalytic domains on DNA interweave dimensional arrays.
The postdoc’s participation in this DOD funded project will be centered
around glycoside hydrolase and polysaccharide lyase action on cell
walls/wall derived materials. The successful candidate will have
experience in molecular/cell biology/biochemistry. Expertise in
plant/algal cell wall biochemistry and wall degrading enzymes is a plus.
The postdoc will be a part of an active laboratory with other projects
including NSF/USDA funded studies of glycosyl transferase
function/evolution using moss and algal models, and investigation of the
role of biopolymers in algal dominated biofilms.  Competitive salary.
