As part of the INA20 Meeting, February 2027 organized by the INA and the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, we invite you to participate in the art exhibition at the Museum of La Plata. The exhibition centers on the concept of Deep Time and its ecological implications. From this perspective, nannoplankton emerges as a geopolitical actor: its organic remains, seemingly worthless, accumulated over millions of years alongside other organisms, gave rise to petroleum, a witness to past lives that industrial modernity transformed into a powerful fuel capable of controlling international markets and which today contributes to a new mass extinction. The call for submissions invites scientists and artists working in the fields of paleontology, biology, and ecology to submit works that explore these relationships from scientific, speculative, imaginative, or poetic perspectives. The aim is to bring together different ways of representing life in the past and, through them, to reflect on the transformations of the present and their impact on the future. Terms and Conditions Works will be accepted in any format, technique, or discipline, including, but not limited to, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, scientific illustration, installation, audiovisual works, digital art, and mixed media. Inscription Form We look forward to having the opportunity to exhibit your work. Kind regards, Martina, Victoria, Amanda, María de los Ángeles, Mariem and Gonzalo Art & Outreach Committee 20th International Nannoplankton Association Meeting ina20meeting at gmail.com https://congresos.unlp.edu.ar/ina20/ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
