I pass on this important information I received from Prof. Simonetta Monechi at the University of Florence (Italy):

The  Levi Montalcini program, unfortunately, will expire in two days, on the 18th of July 2019 .

The application is restricted to someone who:
        1. Has been awarded a PhD or equivalent  <6 years ago,
        2. Has had 3 years post doc or research employment,
        and is aimed at the realization of research programme
        offered autonomously at Italian universities.

No age restrictions. it is not necessary to speak italian. He or  she
has to realize a research programme.

The Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Florence would be
interested in one researcher with a specialization in nanno. In the
third year of contract, the University will assess the   contract
holder, as regards achieving scientific approval, for the   purposes of
appointment to the role of associate professor. If   assessment is
positive, the contract holder, upon conclusion of the   contract, will
be assumed in the role of associate professor.In the third year of
contract, the University of Florence will assess the contract holder, as
regards achieving scientific approval, for the purposes of appointment
to the role of associate  professor. If assessment is positive, the
contract holder, upon  conclusion of the contract, will be assumed in
the role of   associate professor.
