[coccoliths] ID Help

Hi Ronald,

Thanks for your comments. I did use a gypsum plate, but I didn´t take a
photo. I´m very sure it is Calcuim carbonate. I also sent the photos to two
palinologists and both told me that looks like a miospore, but they don´t
know which. One of them also told me that even when it is no common, some
times there are replacements of calcite in spores. The sample was smashed
in a mortar and then diluted in tap water with hydrogen peroxide. That
could be the reason of why it doens´t have the brownish color of spores.
Up to now, nobody was able to identify it propperly...
