I used the spraying technique to prepare samples during my PhD and now would like to use it again to prepare some clay-rich samples for SEM analysis. When I checked the Ernest Fullam website to order the EFFA Spray Mounter, I discovered that they have gone out of business. Ted Pella took over most of their line, but when I called, the sales rep told me that they do not carry the spray mounter and the technicians didn't know of anyone selling something similar. Do any of you know of another spray mounter that could work? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Cheers, Denise ********************************************* Denise K. So, I decide to try again this time sending it through our list (thus, also making the process more democratic ;) Apologies for all that (1) are not interested; (2) received the previous messages and/or (3) already have the stuff. All the best for 2016, MC ____________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ Dear all Just a brief info to say that I have only 19 (sets of 25-coccolith) coccospheres left. Unfortunately I it's not enough for everybody that expressed me their interest. So, if you still want one (or more) let me know. I will keep delivering them on a first come first serve basis until they run out. Continuation of Excellent 2016, MC ________________________________________ Mario Cachao | Associate professor | t:+351 217 500 362 Fac. Sciences, Univ. Lisbon Portugal | www.fc.ul.pt/dg From: Mario Cachão Date: segunda-feira, 12 de Outubro de 2015 16:49 To: Subject: Finally we have the coccoliths... Dear colleagues First of all my apologies for this long hiatus but this was the time we needed to change completely the way coccoliths were being produced, from one by one, manually, to a more "industrial" production. The good news are: 1. Price is a little bit lower (3 € a piece instead of 4 €, as I previously estimated) 2. The individual coccoliths are almost bubble free (still one or two where impossible to eliminate in most of them) while manually there were a lot of bubbles in them; My previous estimation of the number of coccoliths per coccosphere was also not correct. Instead of a minimum of 15 you will need 25 coccoliths to reconstruct a single coccosphere (see https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=966851180037885&set=a.10356347303333 1.2948.100001390360196&type=3&theater) So, if you still want to acquire one (or more) coccosphere(s) please send me your name and land address and the copy of the deposit (see below): 1. The final cost will be 100 € = (25 x 3€) + 1.5 kg registered postage (25€). 2. Since I had to personally finance this production I will need you to deposit directly into my account (additional transfer costs may apply): IBAN: PT50 0035 0670 00019940030 71 BIC SWIFT: CGDIPTPL Bank Name: Caixa Geral Depositos Name: MARIO CACHAO Address: Belas Clube de Campo -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
