<BR> <BR>One of these projects ‘Factors regulating the sexual phase in 

marine planktonic diatoms’ aims to investigate the role of endogenous and 

exogenous factors in inducing the onset of sexual phase in marine planktonic 

diatoms. The project will be largely experimental, and might include genomic or 

modeling approaches. <BR><BR>Applications are invited from qualified 

postgraduate candidates. Applicants should have sufficient command of the 

English language to prepare and defend a thesis in English. <B>The closing 

deadline is 22 September 2008</B>.<BR><BR><BR><X-SIGSEP>
