with expertise in freshwater</FONT></B><BR><B><FONT face="Times New Roman"
size=5>diatom taxonomy and ecology (m/f)</FONT></B><BR><BR><B><FONT
face="Times New Roman">Duties and responsibilities:</FONT></B><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman"> The researcher will carry out diatom
inventories on river samples, participate</FONT><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman">in R&D projects dealing with diatom taxonomy and
ecology and participate in</FONT><BR><FONT face="Times New Roman">the teaching
of specialised courses on diatom identification.</FONT><BR><BR><B><FONT
face="Times New Roman">Qualifications:</FONT></B><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman"> The candidate must hold a Master or
PhD degree.</FONT><BR><FONT face="Times New Roman"> The
candidate must have an advanced expertise in freshwater diatom taxonomy,
</FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman">documented by publications in international
journals.</FONT><BR><FONT face="Times New Roman"> Knowledge
about the taxonomy and the ecology of other algal groups or/and</FONT><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman">aquatic macrophytes will be considered as
assets.</FONT><BR><FONT face="Times New Roman"> The applicant
must present organisational and communication skills.</FONT><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman"> A professional experience on Scanning
Electron Microscopy (SEM) will be</FONT><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman">considered as a significant advantage.</FONT><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman"> Good written and oral communication
skills in English and French are required.</FONT><BR><FONT
face="Times New Roman"> Knowledge in German, Spanish,
Portuguese or Italian is considered as asset.</FONT><BR><BR><B><FONT
