<P>GreenWater Laboratories/CyanoLab (GWL/CL) is a small private laboratory
located in <st1:City w:st="on">Palatka</st1:City>, <st1:State
w:st="on">Florida</st1:State> (between <st1:City
w:st="on">Gainesville</st1:City> and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City
w:st="on">St. Augustine</st1:City>, <st1:State
w:st="on">FL</st1:State></st1:place>) that specializes in the identification and
quantification of algae and algal toxins (<A
href="http://www.greenwaterlab.com">www.greenwaterlab.com</A>). Currently,
GWL/CL is actively looking for a phycologist who has a background in
identifying planktonic and epiphytic freshwater algal species. Most work will
involve laboratory microscopy analysis (inverted microscope with phase/contrast
and epifluorescence) but participation in field and laboratory work (other than
algal ID) will be necessary. Assistance with mono-specific algal cultures may
also be required. GWL/CL has a senior phycologist on staff (A ndrew Chapman) so
guidance would be available but extensive training is not intended.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Knowledge of common computer skills and
applications is necessary and the ability to work independently is very
important.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Hours are flexible and a
FTE or PTE position would be considered depending on the circumstances.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Annual salary is commensurate with
experience. Relocation funds could be provided. </P>
