non-indigenous species of diatoms. This position is at the Postdoctoral level.
The project is a part of the Canadian Aquatic Invasive Species Network (CAISN)
research program funded by NSERC to examine temporal changes in genetic
variability of aquatic invasive species (AIS) brought to <ST1:COUNTRY-REGION
w:st="on"><ST1:PLACE w:st="on">Canada</ST1:PLACE></ST1:COUNTRY-REGION> in ships’
ballast waters. The goal is to identify key factors that affect survival and

microbial molecular biology, preferably diatoms. Initial support will be for six
months, with continuation pending satisfactory
